A badge is a symbol or indicator of an accomplishment, skill, quality or interest. Badges are used to set goals, motivate learning, represent achievements and communicate success in many contexts. A “digital badge” is an online record of achievements, tracking the student’s progress on courses. Badges display student's skills and achievements on social networking profiles, job sites and more. Badges allow student's to directly see their progress, individual feedback and improvement.
Certificates are given to students upon successful completion of course. Certification enables student to evaluate their talent and skills.
